For up to 8 telephone users, this is probably for you.
Many small businesses have relied on analogue lines for a long time but now you can take advantage of high quality digital lines and services, even if you’re a smaller organisation.
ISDN2e is a high-performance voice and data service for small offices. With a basic installation you can connect up to 8 digital devices and make 2 calls at once.
ISDN also offers 64/128k Internet access - useful if Broadband hasn't yet reached your exchange.
A 2-channel ISDN2e circuit costs about the same as 2 conventional phone lines, but it offers higher quality and far greater potential.
ISDN applications
You can use ISDN for voice calls and for high-quality data links with other ISDN subscribers. Digital connections are is often used for transferring large files securely, video-conferencing and linking Local Area Networks at different sites.
You can make data calls to other countries that have ISDN services.
Telephone numbers
If you wish, you can have separate phone numbers for telephones or other devices connected to your circuit. How you do this depends on your line configuration:
If you connect devices directly to the circuit, you can have up to nine additional MSN phone numbers which you allocate to your equipment.
If you use a switch/PBX, you can have an unlimited number of DDI (direct dial inward) numbers.
Features
Other features of ISDN2 include CLI (calling line identity) which enable the callers number to be presented to a device. This is a requirment if there is a need to have CTI (screen popping from a database)
